Alex Moser, Executive Chef, Andaz, New Delhi


Inspired by a life-long love for food and culinary adventures, Alex Moser turned his passion into a career 17 years ago, by commencing work at Grand Hyatt, Berlin.

Chef Alex is what culinary dreams are made of – experimental, passionate and conversational. He likes to play with flavors and spice.

His passion saw him take up assignments and various roles with the Hyatt group over the years. His travelling shoes and penchant to delight different taste buds took him across continents. He donned the chef’s hat in the hotel chain in Germany, Dubai, Russia, France, Switzerland, Holland and Turkey.


Alex particularly takes pleasure in cooking with some of the locally popular spices and ingredients. The constantly evolving menu of Andaz allows him the flexibility to experiment with new combinations of local ingredients, mixing traditional flavors and modern cooking techniques. He strives to put food on the plate that is not only beautiful and aromatic, but which also has a history to it, its origin not only known but celebrated. Alex tries to create a “modern menu with simple, honest yet bold flavors” for a sumptuous spread.

Amrita Raichand, TV Host, MUMMY Ka MAGIC


Ms. Amrita Raichand is a model turned actor. She is a much known face in the Advertising fraternity, best known as the Brand Ambassador for “Whirlpool Home Appliances”. Anchoring a number of game shows on TV and Hosting award functions like the WOW Awards, Big Nite, ACE TECH Awards for builders and many more, she has also set the ramp on fire with her million dollar smile.

Her fondness for serious acting led her to explore other avenues in her profession. Apart from ads and TV anchoring she has acted in TV serials as well. She currently hosts a cookery show called “MUMMY Ka MAGIC” for Food Food Channel. The show caters to those parents who want to fix a good tasting food for their children which is nutritious at the same time. The show has been awarded as the ‘Best Cookery Show’ at the Indian Telly Awards 2012.


Holding a Bachelors degree in Arts and diploma in marketing management, Amrita also has love for films and has played a cameo in few movies. She has recently done an Acting Course with Mr. Anupam Kher to hone her acting skills and has graduated the course with great appreciation from all of the teaching fraternity.Back to Chef Lineup

Anahita Dhondy, Chef Manager, SodaBottleOpenerWala.


A chef who comes from a family of Parsis from Delhi, Anahita is the chef at the very famous SodaBottleOpenerWala. Since childhood, her world has revolved around food and she finds inspiration in her mother’s cooking. She has seen her mother cook and cater international cuisine, Parsi food and baking cakes for the past 25 years. Anahita iced her first cake when she was 10.

Anahita studied in IHM-Aurangabad and interned at Taj properties, the Bombay Baking Company at JW Marriott. She further got a “Grande Diplome” at Le Cordon Bleu, London topping the charts.

Anahita is an expert in French pastries and cuisine, but is passionate about Parsi food. She says “SodaBottleOpenerWala is a second home, the masalas come from home, the recipes are great grandmas and with a stir it all comes together beautifully”.


Her journey at SodaBottleOpnerWala has been a learning experience. After the quick success of the first restaurant, within a year the team has opened a second restaurant at Khan Market which is up and running!

In future she hopes to constantly add more value and make dining at SodaBottleOpenerWala an experience which will leave footprints of happy memories as she lives to make others eat the best. Back to Chef Lineup

Diego Martinelli, Executive Chef, Le Cirque


Originally from Bologna, situated in the northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna, Diego is a motivated and dynamic cooking professional with international experience in luxury hotels and successful team such as the Ferrari Racing department in Maranello, Italy.

He is an alumnus from I.A.L. Institute of Culinary Arts in Modena, Italy. An expert in Italian cuisine, Martinelli has attained 16 years of experience across Europe, Middle East and Asia working with five-star luxury hotels including Bulgari Hotels & Resorts and The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore, to name a few.


His multiple language skills with proficiency in Italian, Japanese, Spanish and English make him highly popular with his guests and colleagues alike. Diego at Le Cirque plans to orchestrate a new era in the fine dining industry of India and continue the culinary legacy of The Leela Palace New Delhi with his penchant for creativity and experimentation.Back to Chef Lineup

Gaggan Anand, Owner & Executive Chef, Gaggan


Chef Gaggan Anand was born in Kolkata, India to Punjabi parents. He was initially more interested in music than cooking and performed as a drummer in local rock bands before beginning his culinary career. He attended a catering college in Trivandrum and after receiving a diploma he began working as a trainee with the Taj Group. Anand later left the Taj Group to pursue a career in Bangkok, where he began working at Red, restaurant that specialized in contemporary Indian cuisine.From there he served as the first chef of Indian descent to intern with Ferran Adrià’s research team at el Bulli and also began working at various restaurants in Bangkok, a process that Anand stated was frustrating because the businesses “just didn’t want anything different”.This frustration led him to propose to some friends that he open his own restaurant, Gaggan.


Anand opened Gaggan in December 2010. Since then the restaurant has repeatedly placed on the Restaurant S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurantslist. In 2014 it ranked 17th in the global rankings and in 2015 it was ranked as the magazine’s best restaurant in Asia and 10th in the world.Gaggan serves progressive Indian haute cuisine.Back to Chef Lineup

Her company Foodaholics caters to those obsessive compulsive food addicts who settle for nothing but the best and the finest a culinary experience can offer.

Today, Kishi, is a Ted fellow, a food columnist and has appeared on various food shows on leading channels including NDTV and CNN. She is also a consultant with Godrejs Nature Basket where she holds workshops on a regular basis.

In 2009, he designed the path-breaking contemporary Indian menu of Indian Accent, at The Manor, New Delhi. He has won the 1st prize at mango festival, which was organized at Indian Trade Association, honored to be one of the chefs to attend Master Chefs Classes at the world Gourmet Summit (Rising Stars of the century), Singapore, of April 2008, Co-hosted a famous cookery show on Zee Business called as the great chefs of India. He has over 15 years of experience in the food industry and over 10 years as executive and corporate chef across India and USA. Ranveer is a professional food Stylist TV personality with five successfully running shows on Zee Khana Khazana (Breakfast Express ,Homemade, Snack Attack , health bhi taste bhi and a Travel series- The Great Indian rasoi) currently the Senior Executive Chef at Novotel Mumbai and a running prime time show on zoom (thank God its Fryday ).

Brar became the youngest Executive Chef and opened the Chocolate Box, a unique pastry shop with live chocolate making and customized chocolate designs at all of 25 years of age. Tanveer Kwatra, Director Of Cuisine, West Goa


Chef Tanveer Kwatra has the distinction of being one of the youngest Executive Chefs in the hospitality industry today being appointed at the position at the mere age of 27 of then Pullman Central Park, Gurgaon. A native of Agra, Chef Tanveer is a product of William Angliss TAFE, affiliated to Victoria University, Melbourne. His journey has been a complete adventure, taking him from Agra to Melbourne then to Fiji and finally back to Delhi. Having sharpened his creative skills with stints at various hotels, Chef Tanveer now leads the culinary brigade of Le Meridien Gurgaon at La Riviera, their French Nouveau cuisine restaurant. He has worked on various cuisines and invented various techniques in the course of his illustrious career.

Prior to joining Le Meridien Gurgaon, he was associated with Crown Casino and Grand Hyatt, Melbourne. Chef Tanveer was also associated with Starwood Hotel Complex in Fiji, where he was in charge of all western cuisine restaurants in the Westin and Sheraton resorts. He has been an integral part of Wine and Food festivals in Melbourne till 2009, which included his work with Michelin star chefs Dieter Muller, Fergus Henderson and April Bloomfield.


Chef Tanveer’s exquisite use of textures and flavours has been a trend setter and earned him quite a fan-following in the fine dining space. Tanveer’s passion for excellence drives him constantly to introduce novel food concepts.Back to Chef Lineup

Thomas Lionel Blanchard, Chef Consultant


Chef Thomas Lionel Blanchard is a French Corporate Chef for Dabon International. He is from Southern France, Bayonne, and has an experience of 18 years in his field at many companies all over the globe. He started his career in a company named Mandion, and was trained by Mr Mandion himself, ex-apprentice and chef in Lenotre company in Paris. There Chef Thomas learnt bakery, pastry and confectionery, chocolate, ice-cream and catering.

After a few years he joined Lenotre Company, and got training directly under Mr Gaston Lenotre


Leaving Paris for his hometown, Thomas became a Pastry Chef in different companies during 5 years. At first he worked as the head of pastry department and also as the Executive Chef in the main kitchen. Holding a Bachelors degree in Arts and diploma in marketing management, Amrita also has love for films and has played a cameo in few movies. She has recently done an Acting Course with Mr. Anupam Kher to hone her acting skills and has graduated the course with great appreciation from all of the teaching fraternity.

In 2008, Thomas decided to travel and discover the world, he spent time in Sweden, Germany, Spain, UK and in the US, where he learnt new processes and new products. In 2011, he got offered the position of an Executive Chef at “L’Opera”, a famous French bakery in New Delhi, and he decided to come to India. Vikas Khanna is a four times Michelin starred Chef who started his journey from rolling breads at the revered Golden Temple in Amritsar and soared to establish Junoon, a restaurant par excellence, in New York.

Chef Vikas Khanna is the current host of Twist of Taste Season 3 on FOX Traveler and has been the host of MasterChef India Season 2 and 3, Junior Master Chef Season 1, aired on Star Plus. Featured as the Guest Chef on several international shows where he spearheaded the cause of Indian cuisine – from a Gordon Ramsay show, to the prestigious “India Show” by Martha Stewart.


Vikas has written 13 books – My Great India, Flavors First, Khanna Sutra, Savour Mumbai and the most recently released Young Chefs and Return to The Rivers. Last year, Chef Vikas Khanna was awarded the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award for Flavors First.

Nineteen years of bartending experience from the Hyatt Regency, Delhi to managing bars in private and corporate parties in Northern India, Yangdup Lama has been actively involved with conducting corporate and consumer workshops on various aspects of beverage appreciation and experience for major liquor brands in India. Lama received his formal training in Bartending from renowned International Bartender Laval Lim Hon of the Waikiki Cocktail Bar, Majorca, Spain in 1996 and 1997.


A certified bar and beverage trainer for bartenders from the Hyatt International Chicago in March 1998 and a certified Trainer on Rum tasting and Rum cocktails from the Bacardi University, Catano, Puerto Rico 2006 Yangdup has been awarded the H&FS excellence award for The Indian Bartender Of The Year in 1996 and was the Winner of the Asia Pacific UNDER 30 award 1997 from Susan and Field associates Hong Kong for being one of the outstanding bartenders in Asia.

Yangdup Lama set up Cocktails & Dreams in July 1999 offering bar management services to Private and corporate parties in North India. In 2003 launched the Cocktails & Dreams School of Bar and Beverage Management which conducts short and long term courses in Bartending and Beverage Management for people who would like to take up bartending as a career.

Having a work experience of over 9 years in the Hospitality Industry. Starting the journey from delivering pizzas to working in PCO cocktail Bar, which has been the best cocktail bar of New Delhi two times in a row by Times Awards.

In these 9 years of experience he has won more than 5 cocktail competition.


In 2014 Manmohan has won Bacardi Legacy cocktail competition in India and represented India in the Global Finals. And stood in the top 8 in the world.

Manmohan has guest Bartend in various bars across the world, to name a few Cheers Bar Riga, Latvia, Moskovsky Bar Four Seasons Moscow, Russia.

Manmohan regularly contributes to number of industry magazines.
